What this site is
Small Dog Cuts is an English-language site for owners of small breeds such as Shih Tzus, Maltese, Yorkshire Terriers, Poodles and Bichons. We publish real before and after haircut photos, the settings used for each cut, and practical grooming guides you can follow at home.
Our readers are mostly in the United States. The grooming itself happens in a real salon in Kumanovo, North Macedonia, where our groomer works with small dogs every day.
Meet Martina, our groomer
Martina is a professional dog groomer based in Kumanovo, North Macedonia. She grooms small breeds in the salon and is the source of the photos, cut settings and grooming notes on this site.

How the site works
- Photos and notes come from the salon. Every haircut on the site is a real dog Martina groomed. We publish photos only with the owner's consent, never show owners' faces or names, and remove location data from every image.
- Text is edited for clarity. Martina's notes are written up in plain English for owners. The grooming facts, settings and opinions are hers; the editing is about readability.
- Food content with a local pet shop. For articles about food, we work with Pet Shop Mona in Skopje, which shares photos and what small-dog owners actually buy there.
- No medical advice. We write about grooming. If something looks like a health problem, we tell you to see a vet.
